Like all jewelry, your new Inspired Jewelry needs to be properly cared for and cleaned. Correctly cleaning & caring for your jewelry can make a world of difference in preserving its beauty for years to come.
Here are some good “rules” for ALL of your jewelry pieces:
• Remove when swimming or bathing.
• Remove when applying lotion, skincare or hair products.
• Do not expose to harsh chemicals or household cleaners.
• Avoid scenarios that can crush or catch delicate jewelry. (Be careful with sweaters and other woven clothing items that could snag).
• Do not throw jewelry into a drawer or pile with other jewelry or things that can damage it.
Never ‘dip’ your Inspired Jewelry in a cleaning solution, as not all stones can hold up to the harsh chemicals in many commercial jewelry cleaners.
Sometimes your wrapped jewelry pieces may just need a light polishing, and sometimes more thorough cleaning to remove dirt and debris. Start by using a polishing cloth and see if that can achieve your desired results.
A safe, at-home cleaning practice is using soap and water. You’ll want to use warm water, a gentle natural dish soap, and a SOFT toothbrush. Some extra dirty pieces may require soaking first. Always brush gently and avoid harsh scrubbing.
If you are not sure about cleaning your particular piece of jewelry try a polishing cloth on the metal…or bring it to a jeweler for cleaning assistance.
For clay jewelry, please keep in mind the nature of the material and know that while it is durable, it is not unbreakable. Please handle with care and avoid scenarios that will soak the piece in water. A little bit of water won't hurt, but it is recommended to keep it dry. Store in a safe place when not in use, and be mindful of extreme temperature fluctuations (like leaving in a hot car, as this can affect the clay).
Many of my creations are made with delicate crystals. I recommend wearing them freely but smartly.
Most of my home décor is fairly maintenance free, and I always recommend keeping it in a safe, undisturbed area, but here are a few tips on some of the items I occasionally include that may need attention:
Air Plant Care: These need very little water, but do get thirsty from time to time. About once a week, place your air plant upside down in a shallow dish of water for about an hour. Can be misted lightly in between waterings. Keep in mild, indirect lighting.
Not all things from nature are the same, so the best piece of advice I can give is to get to know your Plant and listen to what it needs. It may not need watering as often in more humid environments.
Moss Sculptures: These are made with a dehydrated moss that needs little maintenance. Keep out of harsh sunlight and mist lightly with water if it ever starts to dry out in order to maintain the softer, spongy feel.
Question: "Do you take custom orders?"
Answer: Yes! Just give me an idea of what you are looking for and we can begin to customize. If you aren't sure what you want, I can recommend some stones that may be helpful to current life situations for you to choose from!
A deposit is required on all custom orders before beginning work and must be paid in full based on terms discussed with each client.
Question: "Do you offer Wholesale?"
Answer: Yes - on certain products. Restoration Bundles, Crystalline Essential Oils, Gemstone Rollers and select Crystals are all available for Wholesale. Jewelry and Home Décor are not.
